So a comfortable win for South Africa in the 1st ODI and the next one is on Thursday (4th September). We will be there for that one. Do join us then. For now it's bye bye.

Temba Bavuma: Very important to start well, that's something we spoke about, to continue the momentum from the Australia series. Clinical with the ball. We still managed to take wickets despite them putting us under pressure in the powerplay. With the ball don't think you can fault too much. With the bat we could have been little bit clinical at the end, we started well led by Aiden at the top. We caught well, fielding is something we want to improve, the ball flies off on this square but we did well. Just build on the momentum and keep pushing our standards up. We play again on Thursday at Lord's. It might be different conditions. We have our own standards and we want to keep getting better.

Harry Brook: Not ideal. Not a great start to the series. One of those bad days and we have got to move on as soon as possible. Everybody will hold their hands up and say it was a bad day apart from Smudge. We couldn't get a partnership. It held up on the pitch a little bit but I don't want to go into too much detail. (if the toss made a difference) Hopefully we would have bowled like them, they bowled well. (on how he wants his side to play) Go out and bang it and then take wickets as quickly as possible. Sonny Baker got a bit of tap but the way he kept coming back was nice to see. He kept on chucking it and gave his 100 percent. We used it as a practice session at the end and nice to see the lads go out their business. We travel to London and want to put this behind us.

Keshav Maharaj | Player of the Match: Thought was a really good wicket. Little bit of nibble and fortunately our bowlers managed to utilise that. We know the English lads play extremely well in their conditions and so good to see the guys put their plans to fruition today. I have looked at some of the best in the world and sort of managed to make minor changes and it has paid dividends. We are in a wonderful place but still we are in transition. Good to see the guys put their hands up in every single game we play.

17:12 Local Time, 16:12 GMT, 21:42 IST: Dominant win by South Africa this. Don't get carried away by the three wickets England took. Those were all after the game was practically done. Once England folded for 131, it was one-way traffic in the chase with Markram setting the tone early on taking debutant Sonny Baker to the cleaners. Baker went for 56 runs in his first spell of 4 overs as Markram unfurled classy strokes all around the ground. Rickelton meanwhile took 11 balls to open his account and when he did eventually, Markram was already on 36 by then. The 100-run stand soon came up and Adil Rashid took three consolation wickets - two with the scores level as Bavuma and Stubbs went for the glory shot to end things and got out. A real thumping this. Stay tuned for the post-match stuff...
